Navigate from our website, click on ‘login’ (top right hand corner) and create an account as a new user, by entering the required details and then clicking ‘submit’.
All new clients to the Fitness Function get one free class of their choice to try for free.
To redeem this, you first need to set up your own account with us (see above), then go back to the home page (click on the Fitness Function logo) and click on the ‘Book now for a free trial’ icon, followed by ‘checkout’.
You can then view the timetable (icon along the top of the page) and click ‘sign up’ to put your name down for the class of your choice.
Monday to Friday 9am to 9.30pm, Saturday 8am to 3pm
At the back of De Havilland Court there is a car park. To access the car park you drive at the gates and they will open. As you drive through turn left and come to the end of the buildings and park at the end. Parking is completely free of charge.
It is simple you can either pay online or in person. Payments we except are credit/debit cards, cash, or cheques. Alternatively, you can pay by credit/debit card via our website or app.
Simply log into your account, go to our timetable page, and click ‘sign up’ for the class you wish to attend.
Sessions are either in blocks or we have two monthly pass options.
All our blocks of sessions have a 6 month validity from date of purchase.
To cancel a class without charge you need to cancel your session at least 24 hours before the start of the class. Less than 24 hours will result in full charge for the session.
If you are running late for class please contact us as soon as possible. If you are five minutes late participation will be at the instructor’s discretion. If you are more than ten minutes late then there will be no entry, due to missing the important warm up part of the class, which could result in injury. The booking/payment cannot be carried over, as we have a 24 hour cancellation policy on all of our sessions.
We have all the equipment here for you to use. Everything is sanitised and fully cleaned before each and every use. You will need to wear suitable clothing for exercise and appropriate footwear for the class. Bring along a towel (if you wish) and water bottle. If you forget your water, you can purchase water at 50p a bottle.
All mats are provided for relevant classes.
You can change here at Fitness Function. At the present time there are no showering facilities. There is plenty of space to change in our downstairs toilet.
This does not matter as the trainer will take you through how to use it at the beginning of every session. The trainer will recommend suitable levels for the workout which is taking place. If you are unsure then please ask during the workout. The Total Gym can be adjusted during the session if required.
Yes we have many classes suitable for beginners. For guidance on which class type and style is suitable for your needs please phone us and our Front of House team will take you through your needs.
For some classes it is appropriate to go barefoot. If you don’t wish to do this, then please wear socks which have gripper on the soles of the socks to prevent slipping. If you do wish to go barefoot, please ensure that you don’t have any of the following: athlete’s foot or verrucaes. If you do have these please ensure your feet are covered until you are completely clear of infection, you can still come to class
Yes, if you have paid for blocks of both categories, you can mix the sessions. No, if you have only purchased one class category. Alternatively you can purchase the Function Fitness Pass which gives you access to studio, Gravity and Virtual classes in a monthly package.
The minimum age for our adult exercise programme is 16 years of age.
Currently we don’t do classes specifically for children.
